RHINOS WITHOUT BORDERS WAS FORMED BY GREAT PLAINS CONSERVATION AND ANDBEYOND, TWO LEADING CONSERVATION AND TOURISM COMPANIES, AS A RESPONSE TO THE DEVASTATING RISE IN ILLEGAL RHINO POACHING IN SOUTH AFRICA.

Ongoing, since 2003
the Black Rhino Range Expansion Project (BRREP) is a long termed project, aimed at increasing growth rate and numbers of the critically endangered species. The project includes working with private landowners as well as national parks to protect national wildlife habitat. Begun in 2003 although WWF has worked with rhino populations
since the 1960's.
